iSpot: Help Identifying Nature

Sometimes you see something in nature that you just can't identify. Whether is be a bird, butterfly, mammal, plant, etc, help isn't far away - as long as you can take a quick (and relatively good) photograph - in the form of the Open University's iSpot.

http://www.ispot.org.uk/

Here, once you've registered, you can upload photos, confirm observations of others, chat in the forum (one current post requests an identification of a fledgling that was unfortunately caught and killed by the cat of the author of the post :S), and also help out with various surveys (from climate to Earthworms).

It's a nice site and seems to have a nucleus of users that use the site quite regularly. There are many useful links to be found, including links to other sites that can help you identify the subject of your photograph.

Have fun with your IDing :)
