Starting Fire: Wire wool and a battery

Recently I saw an episode of Dual Survival where they happened to be stranded with a battery from a device and some wire wool. Now, to be fair, this is more of a survival thing than a go into the woods and use this generally to make the camp fire - but I wanted to give it a go! I was actually quite surprised by how easy it was. Here's the evidence - Happy viewing:
