Notes: Apologies for the rubbish photos. When I see bracken again, I'll upload some better ones. Although for now, here's a nice little fact: Bracken produce and release allelopathic chemicals. These chemicals inhibit growth of other herbs and trees in the same area, which is why when you encounter lots of bracken, you'll probably see very little else in the understorey.
